What are we doing @mytowntutorsMA? We are unfollowing over 5,000 twitter accounts. We are curious to see what will happen if we unfollowed ALL of the twitter accounts and we are confident we are going to be a “new and improved” twitter account for Boston, Massachusetts.
Follow us to see how it all unfolds – @mytowntutorsMA!

Social Media Actions:

  1. Schedule tweets: We are still using twitter to connect with great accounts. We love to share the top quotes in education, so we will schedule quotes like we always do.
  2. Create “Value Pages”: As a website owner, your goal is to drive traffic to your site. We look to create pages that people want to read and that are unique. Our hope is that many pages will be #1 on a Google search page. We have created a Massachusetts Jokes page of the top family friendly jokes. We will share these jokes throughout the year. We also feel our Top Summer Jokes & Top 50 Summer Jokes will be very popular pages. We are currently looking for sponsors!
  3. Connect with sponsors: All business have a goal of providing a great service to customers at a reasonable price. In addition, a company looks to create revenue with advertising. We have some amazing opportunities to reach a targeted audience. As we unfollow every twitter account, we are analyzing the accounts to see if they might be a good fit for our advertising campaigns. (101 Pi Day Jokes, 180 School Jokes, Top Massachusetts Jokes)
  4. Reorganize your twitter lists: Unfollowing accounts allows you to select certain accounts to put on a list. @mytowntutorsMA has some great lists for Massachusetts, parents, and teachers!
  5. Say good-bye in style*: As we unfollow accounts we often will give a #FF. This will likely result in a few RTs and also give us an opportunity to respond and policy develop a stronger relationship. *This may raise some issues with twitter, so we choose to unfollow quietly.
  6. Unfollow quietly and easily: This is the easiest way to unfollow. Just unfollow and be done with it. We list many of the accounts on one of our lists, but if you just unfollow you can get to zero quicker!
  7. Connect with Guest Bloggers: As we say good-bye, we often connect with accounts that are a great fit for our audience of teachers and parents. We ask some of these experts if they are interested in sharing their knowledge with our readers. Check out some of the impressive posts on our Guest Blog page!
  8. Create a list of accounts you will follow back.
  9. Welcome new followers: #FF @JoseFable Bilingual Creative Advisor @ FableVision Learning Honored to be connected We love #DotDay
