Although today we have been posting many “April Fool’s Day” blogs, attracting quality followers is part of our Social Media Makeover Series.
@mytowntutorsNY officially launched its account on April 1, 2014. On April 1st at the end of the 1st day on twitter we had 109 followers.
It should be noted that we used the Month of March to train our New York Director. We experimented with a few ideas and had the support of @mytowntutors. Our goal for the next 12 months is to be an amazing resource for New York educators and parents. We have set a goal of 5,000 followers by next year, but that is really only a number.
Our real goal is to gain the trust of New York (and US) teachers and parents so that we are a valuable tutoring resource.
