My Town Tutors is the nation’s 1st National Directory of teachers who tutor. Our goal in 2014 is to expand our network of local teachers who tutor to 1,000 teachers! In 2013 we had over 150,000 visitors to our site from all 50 states.
It is FREE for parents to search for a teacher in their area. Please help us find ONE MORE teacher who tutors!

We use our national twitter account (@mytowntutors) to help us reach our goal. We just launched @mytowntutorsNY to help us reach our goal.
What is your #1 goal for @mytowntutorsNY using social media?
Our #1 goal is real simple, to drive New York teachers and parents to our website – www.mytowntutors.com.
How will @mytowntutorsNY evaluate our goal?
We know that establishing a social media presence is a marathon, not a sprint, so we will set three short-terms goals.
- Increase our daily visits from New York. We will use google analytics to measure our increase in visits.
- Increase our followers with quality teachers and parent twitter accounts. We will track the number of followers on twitter. Today, March 4th, 2014, we have 63 followers.
- Increase the number of New York teachers who register with us. We will keep track of New York teacher registrations.
We are very excited to see how well we can do in the next few days, weeks, and months. Check out our blog for updates.
