This post is from 2013. Check out the current schedule for th 2014 Summer Schedule!

The Plymouth Pilgrims are entering their first year of existence and play in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. The NECBL is a wooden bat league featuring college age players from around the country and the league itself features teams from all over New England along with one team in Saratoga Springs, NY which makes for some awfully long bus rides.

Our games are played at Forges Field in Plymouth on Jordan Road and all home games start at 6:30 PM. The best part is that we have a theme for every home game featuring a number of our great sponsors. We’ve already had Lobster Night which was sponsored by Lobster Hut where our wonderful interns prepared and handed out 100 free lobster salad sandwiches and we’re going to have a big School’s Out Night coming up on 6/28. Our excellent Pilgrims Reading Program got some of our players out to local schools to read to elementary school students and the kids who participated will get a free ticket to that game!

Our team has gone through a tough start, but there is a ton of talent here. On Friday the team played in Laconia, NH in what the players have said was the craziest game they’ve ever played in. It was a 16-inning affair that ending after 5 hours and 39 minutes by a score of 11-10!

The goal of the organization is to provide wonderful family entertainment at a great price and to showcase some quality baseball.
