This time of year we see a lot of articles about getting things moving!  We adhere to new schedules, struggle with resolutions and work on getting a new year going.  I’ll do that too, but I’m also reviewing last year’s success and challenges as I go.
For us here in Virginia, December means Nutcracker time.  My daughter dances a number of parts, my wife manages the box office and I enjoy a chance to release my inner ham and join world renowned dancers on stage.  This year, the Manassas Ballet Theatre celebrated the most successful season ever with a sold out final show and all 3 other shows breaking new ground for crowds, 2 of them including a thousand in the audience. The months of hard work for the entire cast, from professional company members to the children and adults, resulted in great entertainment. All in all, a fabulous way to end the year! https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/282457_10200156686778561_1218991157_n.jpg
So, now we turn back to our professional goals as the calendar page reveals a shiny New Year.
We set out ambitious new plans, put new projects into place and ensure that we learn from our mistakes and make bold moves to capitalize on our successes. That means turning to my work building @SouthShoreElder of Braintree, MA into a Social Media Powerhouse. As their Social Media consultant @SMMaestro, I’m a master at developing a buzz about events, keeping our consumers informed and connected and developing new avenues for fundraising and attracting volunteers.
But that doesn’t mean we have to turn our backs on dancing and celebration. In less than 2 weeks, we will join @PlymouthPhil and South Shore Visiting Angels for a gala evening to raise money for the Special Needs Funds of @SouthShoreElders and Old Colony Elder Services.  Here are all the the details for this fabulous night of dancing, sizzling music and the main attraction of enjoying “Dancing with the Angels”.http://pinterest.com/southshoreelder/dancing-with-the-angels/
6 teams of dancers will be vying for the coveted title of Champion and delighting in the oohs and aahs of the appreciative crowd.  Last year’s titleholders from South Shore Elder Services will be facing stiff competition from teams from all the 6 entries.  http://dancewithvisitingangels.com/ https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=11589681&l=ff1175ffda&id=130807868701
You can still reserve a table or get tickets to get crackin’ on this fantastic event. http://dancewithvisitingangels.com/ Don’t get left out of a great way to see that your neighbors can get warm during a cold winter or perhaps have meals delivered during the inevitable snowstorm.
