Find out the Tryout Date: This is critical to know how many days you have to get ready.
Keep a Basketball Notebook: This is VERY important. If you really want to make a basketball team, you need to keep track o your workouts and what you are a doing to improve as a basketball and and athlete. Write down the date, and also list how many days until the 1st trout.
Jump Rope: Jumping rope is a great activity to help with foot speed, quickness, conditioning, agility and strength. Jump rope for 5 minutes, then do 3 sets of one minute. Record your scores and try to improve each time. Blog: “Jumping Rope is for Girls!”
Attend a Summer Basketball Camp: Camps are a great way to learn how to play basketball and improve. Players as early at 4th grade should consider attending basketball camps.
