In early 2016, @mytowntutors unfollowed 10,000 twitter accounts. This was a long process, but we saw some value in adjusting our social media strategy. We also felt is was important to create an additional twitter account to focus completely on social media and search engine optimization!

One of the biggest mistakes a new twitter account can do is focus all the energy on following people. This can lead to some serious trouble. (Even though at one point we wrote about following EVERYONE!)
@SEOMyTownTutor has stopped actively following accounts. The tweets will focus on the companies mission, advertising opportunities, and social media tips! We will gladly follow accounts that follow us, but we want them to see the value in our account and follow us for our content.
If we can make ONE SOLID CONNECTION, we do not need 1,000 followers!
