Argumentative writing is necessary to educate every student to issue opinions or ideas regarding a topic, usually an interesting phenomenon that occurs in the midst of society. In a persuasive or argumentative writing, what is tried is to convince others to agree with the situation, to share our values and accept our reasons and our conclusions; that is, to adopt our way of thinking.
Elements for the elaboration a good argumentation:
– Exhibition of the facts that support the argument.
– Clearly expose the relevant values (perspective).
– Prioritize, edit and sequence facts and values according to their importance for argumentation.
– Formulate and reinforce the conclusions.
– “Persuade” the reader that your conclusions are based on confirmed facts and shared values.
– Have confidence to communicate “persuasively” in writing.
Strategies to get write a good argument:
Pose the problem with your own words and style. Think about the issues raised in the work while reading and doing the job of finding information.
Determine the facts.
Search for any sources that support the truth of the facts (as well as more information). Determine if there are prejudices and values that stain the argumentation or the exposition of the facts. What opinion do you deserve the arguments put forward by the author? (In case the argument made by another person is being analyzed). Make a list of the facts and classify them in order of relevance, correct and discard the list, etc.
Ask yourself: “What is missing?”
What are the “hot topics” in relation to the topic?
Make a list of possible feelings or emotional reactions in relation to the subject, for subsequent use.

Start by adjusting to the maximum readings and research carried out.
In this phase there is no need to worry about grammatical or orthographic correction.
– Write the first paragraph:
– Introduce the topic.
– Inform the reader of your point of view!
– Encourage the reader to keep reading until the end!
– Focus on the three main points to develop.
– Decide how to link a paragraph to the following:
– Keep a voice of your own
– Cite the sources of the authorities in the matter.
– Focus on one’s point of view throughout the essay.
– Focus on the logical arguments.
– Do not advance conclusions at the moment when the arguments are developed, wait until the end.
Conclusion
Make a summary and conclude the argument. Refer to the first initial paragraph as well as the main points.
– Does the conclusion reaffirm the main ideas?
– Does it reflect the succession and the importance of the arguments?
– Is it a logical conclusion from the arguments?
– Rewrite the first paragraph so that it responds better to the conclusion.
– Take a day or two of rest!
– Reread the writing with a clear mind and a pencil with a sharp point
