We recently discovered how to incorporate a twitter share button with our blogs. We have had some great views over the years, however without a share button, it was not easy for our readers to quickly share a post.
On April 12, 2014. We added a share button to:
Teachers on Twitter: 160 Perfect Accounts! This is a blog that identified 160 perfect twitter accounts using a resource from hubspot. The accounts are the best in education. Anyone involved in education could gain from the insight of these accounts.
We were curious to see the impact of the share button on views of this blog.
Here are the results:
In 5 Days: 42 Shares & 78 page views / 123 page views.
Over the course of the next month, we will include the twitter handles of all 160 accounts by adding them tweet share tweet. For example the tweet to share is
“160 Perfect Twitter Accounts for #Teachers http://www.mytowntutors.com/2013/12/teachers-on-twitter-160-perfect-accounts/ #edchat via @mytowntutors”
The first share is with the accounts that have written guest blogs for us: @feedtheteacher @patrickmlarkin @NormandinBill @shannonmmiller
We edited the tweet to look like this:
